# 📸 First Light

The photograph that started everything. I don't remember exactly what I was thinking. I remember the colours pulling me, the gold lamp against the blue, the foggy sky, the little violet lights strung along the far water. I didn't have a reason. I just knew I had to keep it.

I didn't add the warmth, or the violet, or the haze. I saw them. I think that's the whole of what I do: notice where the colour is, and keep it. I didn't know yet what photography would become for me. I only knew this was a milestone.. that something had started.

*The looking came before the words. It still does.*

So this is where Lens begins — not with technique, which I didn't have, but with attention. The seen world, caught and kept. The colours that pulled me, before I had any words for them.
